Who we are

Reps is a study app operated by Alca Labs. Using it means you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the service.

Your account

You need an account to create cards, use AI features, sync between devices, publish decks, or appear on leaderboards. You do not need an account to open a shared deck and study it.

You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your login credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. One person per account.

Your content stays yours

The notes you upload and the cards you create belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the permission technically required to run the service: to store your content, sync it to your devices, and send it to our AI provider to generate or grade cards at your request.

If you publish a deck, you are choosing to make that copy publicly readable and copyable by anyone with the link, bylined with your handle. Unpublishing removes the public copy going forward; it cannot recall copies people already saved.

Only upload material you have the right to upload. Do not upload someone else’s copyrighted material, exam content you are not permitted to share, or content that violates your school’s academic integrity policy. Reps is a study tool, and how you use it in a graded setting is your responsibility.

AI output is not guaranteed correct

Cards are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, or subtly misleading, especially on numeric or highly technical material. Grading is also AI-assisted and can misjudge an answer. Check anything that matters against your actual course material. Reps supplements studying; it does not replace it, and we do not guarantee any academic outcome.

Every card is editable. If a card is wrong, fix it or flag it, and the flag helps us improve generation.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to break, overload, or circumvent limits on the service.
• Do not scrape the service or resell access to it.
• Do not publish decks containing harassment, hate, or sexual content involving minors.
• Do not impersonate another person, including by choosing a handle designed to.
• Do not use the AI features to generate material unrelated to studying.

We may remove published decks that break these rules and, for serious or repeated violations, suspend an account. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

Reporting a published deck

Every publicly shared deck has a Report this set link at the bottom of its page. You do not need an account to use it — if you can open the link, you can report it. You can also email us at erikyaspelin@gmail.com.

A person reviews every report. We do not hide decks automatically on a number of reports, because that would let a group remove someone else’s work by coordinating. If we do take a deck down, we remove the public copy only: the author’s own cards in their library are not deleted.

If you believe a published deck copies material you own the rights to, email erikyaspelin@gmail.com with a link to the deck, a description of the work, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We remove material that infringes copyright.

Paid plans

Reps Premium costs $6.99 per month, billed monthly in US dollars, and adds the AI features listed on the pricing page. Everything else — making cards by hand, studying, leaderboards — stays free.

New accounts get 7 days of Premium with no card and no enrolment. When it ends you simply move to Free. Nothing is charged unless you separately choose to subscribe and enter payment details yourself.

• We email you 5 days and 1 day before every renewal, stating the amount and the date.
• You can cancel at any time from your Alca account, which is linked from Settings and manages billing for every Alca app in one place. Cancelling stops the next charge; Premium continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not prorated.
• We will not lock you out of cards you already made or studied if your subscription ends. Your library stays yours and stays studyable.
• You will not be charged without completing a checkout that shows the price.
• Prices may change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a change takes effect.

Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go to them and never to us. If you are ever charged unexpectedly or something goes wrong with a payment, email erikyaspelin@gmail.com and we will sort it out.

Availability

Reps is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of bugs, and we may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your decks.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Alca Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including academic results. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending things

You can stop using Reps at any time. Settings has a Delete your account button that removes your account and its data permanently, and cancels any paid subscription at the same time so you are not charged again; the current billing period is not refunded. You can also email erikyaspelin@gmail.com and we will do it for you. We may suspend accounts that break the acceptable use rules above.

Changes, law, and contact

If we change these terms materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, United States. Questions: erikyaspelin@gmail.com.
